Pandemic Postcards
Covid-19 disrupted our lives in obvious ways. I believe in social distancing but not socially disengaging. Snail mail, communication revived from the past, is a safe connection point - no human contact required to connect with your favorite people and brighten their day. While a text or phone call offers immediate contact, neither serves as a timestamped memento of the pandemic weirdness that was stay at home orders, WFH life, and social isolation. While you couldn’t travel, your postcard could.
I created these postcards by converting some of my old illustration work into their socially distanced, quarantine-themed versions.
