Hope Kaleidoscope
I created 14 short animations under art direction of local artist Laurie Victor Kay to give a quiet respite to our Nebraska Medicine and UNMC healthcare professionals with messages of hope, resilience, and gratitude during the pandemic.
The project was an 80 x 30 foot animated projection, illuminated on Williams Hall on the University of Nebraska Medical Center campus. For reference, that’s about twice the size of a standard billboard.
Laurie’s fine art Kaleidoscope collection was the inspiration for some of the animations. Conceptually I love that, because I believe that hope is a radical way of looking at the world through a more optimistic lens.
